move abroad

Enjoy this Bonus episode of my conversation with Herman and Dee on the Blaxit Global YouTube channel.

Herman and Dee (@handdeeabroad) are a couple of empty nesters who are planning to move abroad. They’ve been married for 25 years and have two grown children who are now living on their own. They’ve always dreamed of living in a different country, and now that their kids are gone, they feel like it’s the perfect time to make the move.

But Herman and Dee have a problem: they can’t decide where to move! They’ve been doing a lot of research, but there are so many great countries out there, that it’s hard to choose just one. They’re looking for an affordable place, that has a good climate and is friendly to foreigners. They’re also interested in a place with a rich culture and history.

Herman and Dee will share their story and their journey to finding the perfect place to call home. They’ll talk about the factors they’re considering when making their decision, and they’ll give you some tips on how to choose the right country for you.

If you’re thinking about moving abroad, this conversation is for you!

Chrishan Wright is a former corporate marketing executive turned global entrepreneur, storyteller, and Chief Freedom Advocate exploring what it means for Black women to build lives rooted in peace, purpose, wellbeing, and global possibility.

Through Blaxit Global, she shares honest reflections and practical insights on life abroad, reinvention, wellness, entrepreneurship, aging, and intentional life design beyond the borders of the United States.

After building a successful corporate career in the U.S., Chrishan made the decision to redesign her life internationally in pursuit of greater alignment, flexibility, wellbeing, and freedom. Following years of global travel and exploration, she relocated to Portugal, where she continues building a life by design — not by default.
